You're not broken...you've just been surviving-and no one ever showed you how to feel safe

A community that understands YOU.. because we were you..

Why We Do This

I didn't create this summit because I had all the answers.

I created it because I know what it feels like to struggle silently.

To look like you're holding everything together on the outside… while inside you're overwhelmed, exhausted, and trying to understand why you feel the way you do.

I know what it feels like to wonder, “Why can't I just move past this?”

To carry things you never asked for.

I don't want others to spend years searching for answers, support, and tools the way so many of us have.

I created this summit because it is the kind of space I wish existed when I needed it most.

A place where science meets compassion.

Where stories become connection.

Where education brings understanding.

And where people are reminded that their past may have shaped them — but it does not have to define what comes next.

We Understand You because... we've been there too.

What You'll Experience...

This isn't just something you attend.. It's something you feel.

A space where you don't have to hide your struggles or carry your story alone.

Moments to slow down, reconnect, and give your mind and body permission to breathe.

A place where you are met with compassion, understanding, and without judgment.

Safe, guided experiences designed to help you explore, process, and better understand what you've been carrying.

Meaningful connection with people who understand that healing isn't always a straight path.

You won't just learn about stress, trauma, and healing…

You'll experience new ways to reconnect with yourself.

For many people, the most powerful moment is realizing: “I’m not the only one who feels this way.”

You can keep pushing through, surviving day after day…Or you can begin to understand what's happening inside your brain, body, and nervous system — and learn tools to support growth, healing, and transformation.

Think of this as your invitation to a new beginning.

You deserve a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported.

Come join a community built on compassion, hope, and understanding.

Because at We Understand You…We understand because we've been there too.

Wherever you find yourself today...

This space was created for you.

A place to learn.

A place to connect.

A place to heal.

A place to remember that you are not alone.

If you see yourself in any part of this message, you belong here.

You deserve to be understood.

Join us for a weekend of healing, education, and connection for teens and adults impacted by trauma, stress, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or life's difficult experiences. Through expert speakers, interactive workshops, and shared stories of hope, you'll discover that healing is possible—and that you don't have to walk the journey alone.

You don't have to carry this alone...

What You'll Walk Away With...

Practical, real-life tools you can use to help calm your nervous system and support yourself during moments of stress, anxiety, and overwhelm.

A deeper understanding of why you feel, think, and respond the way you do — and how your experiences may have shaped your mind, body, and emotions.

Strategies to recognize and navigate triggers when they show up at home, school, work, relationships, caregiving, or ministry.

New perspectives on trauma, mental health, resilience, and the connection between the brain, body, and healing.

A renewed sense of hope, support, and empowerment as you continue your journey forward.

Connection with a community of people who understand the importance of compassion, healing, and knowing we are not alone.

Because healing begins when we feel seen, supported, and understood.

Whether you come as a survivor, a parent, a teen, an educator, a counselor, a healthcare provider, a first responder, a caregiver, or a ministry leader…

There is a place for you here.

I was able to sit in a room and for the first time I felt seen and heard, which isn't easy for trauma survivors to do. The warmness and compassion Gina has, permeates outward. She is definitely a Godsend.

I attended the 2024 We Understand You Summit in Wapakoneta, OH. For a 1st time summit it went well. I learned a lot about how trauma can impact our well-being and how it can cause or mimic mental health challenges. I left there with a sense of self and confidence to become whole again. Thank you Gina for making this possible. You have a huge heart to help others.

I came to the summit to learn education from a trauma informed perspective. But what I walked with was far more. I learned about trauma, what it does to the body, how it affects the nervous system, and ways to calm and regulate. This will not only help me personally but professionally as I mentor individuals and couples. Thank you to the entire crew for a great summit.

“I came looking for answers and left with understanding, tools, and hope. The We Understand You Summit created a space where I felt supported, accepted, and reminded that I don’t have to walk this journey alone.”

“I walked into the 2026 We Understand You Summit feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and unsure of what to expect. For the first time in a long time, I felt seen and understood. I learned why my mind and body respond the way they do, gained tools I could actually use in everyday life, and connected with people who truly understood. This wasn’t just a conference — it was an experience that reminded me healing is possible.”

“As someone who spends so much time supporting others, I didn’t realize how much I needed this space for myself. This summit gave me new insight, practical tools, and a deeper understanding of how to care for myself while continuing to care for others.”
